Blonde hair and hair spray= GREASY! Help?

my hair does that all the time and it annoys me so much. the grease comes from a lot of the gel. i would avoid using gel because it weighs down your hair making it look greasy and heavy. you could use mousse and hairspray only and you will get a sleeker look. but i figured out a different technique to get gorgeous curls without heat and product. After showering, scrunch your hair into a super messy bun and leave it until its 90% dry. If you have natural curls then you don't have to hairspray. but if you have straight hair then add a light hairspray and your good to go.
