What is the effect on the reaction rate if limestone chips are used instead of limestone blocks?

The guy above me pretty much got it but in case you needed a more in depth explanation: Limestone chips are essentially smaller and more dispersed than limestone blocks. This is like saying dirt is used instead of a boulder basically. Now as you can imagine, a boulder is much bigger heavier, while dirt is smaller and more dispersed. So as a general rule in talking about reaction rates, we always see that the smaller, more dispersed form (which has a larger surface area) tends to react faster with solutions, increasing the reaction rate.
