My tv wont pick up the colour red from my ps3's component cables.?

im using a hauppauge hd pvr and eye tv on a macbook pro . i have everything hooked up. eyetv is recording and the pvr is too but my tv isnt picking up the colour red and other colours therefore the recording wont either. HEELLP PLEASEE
