How Do Dance Teachers Know if You Have Talent?
They can see the talent by the way someone performs. If the person is smiling, and really looks like they're having a good time when they're dancing, they have talent. You see, if the person looks scared on stage, you wouldn't consider then very good because they're scared of forgetting the dance routine. A real dancer with talent wouldn't look scared, because she'd know that if she messed up, she'd blow it off. She'd know that if she forgets it, you fake it! If you keep on smiling and having a good time, no one else but the dancers on the stage with you will know that you messed up. Another thing they look for is how they react around other dancers. If another dancer messes up, and you just go on with it, and forget about it, you are a good dancer. If you are making faces on stage, and staring at the person who messed up, you don't have potential. That will look like you're the person who messed up, and you'll come off as a jerk. Then of course there's the stuff where like you do all of the dance moves right and blah blah blah.... the normal stuff. I think that you should continue with dance, for it's a way to express yourself. it will help you overcome the shyness, and help you not care what the people think of you! <3 Liza
