How to die the embroidery on a shirt? Without leaking/streaking/messing up the shirt?

Hi, I have an Abercrombie shirt that has a gray embroidered moose on it (as many of you should know, that is the signature of Abercrombie) Anyway, the shirt is gray and so is the moose, and you can barely see it, and I'd like to know if there was anyway to dye the embroidery, into a dark blue or black maybe, so that it would show, but without messing up the shirt. Maybe someone could give me some tips on a special kind of wax or die? Thanks so much!
